The Mini Guide On Going Green – Part 2: Plant a Tree!

No joke. A single mature tree can absorb carbon dioxide at a rate of 48 lbs./year (22kg) and release enough oxygen back into the atmosphere to support 2 human beings. Over a 50-year lifetime, a tree generates $31,250 worth of oxygen, provides $62,000 worth of air pollution control, recycles $37,500 worth of water, and controls $31,250 worth of soil erosion. Trees also give us shade and various foods such as fruits and nuts.

In this green spirit, a colleague Barbara and me grabbed a big shovel and planted a tree that ISL Online adopted three weeks ago. And thus, ISL Online became a legal custodian of a tree in the first Slovenian labyrinth park. Both environmentally valuable and rewarding. Go to our Facebook page to see more funny pictures of us operating the shovel. 🙂

I wish you a nice and relaxing weekend and plenty of fun in the nature!
