You have been using ISL Light, but you wish to add a personal touch to it. Obvious first choice is to replace the default logo with your company logo. Simply prepare a 80×80 BMP image with your company logo and send the file to ISL Online’s support email so that a customization can be made and activated for your account. Please see the required steps and the email template in this manual topic.
Ok, now you have your own logo embedded in ISL Light, but there are still a few customization options available. Custom dialogs are a nice addition if you wish to present your privacy policy or a disclaimer to your customers prior to starting each session – if they accept the terms by clicking OK, the session continues, otherwise the program closes.
But a simple disclaimer is not all that custom dialogs offer. You can use an end-of-session (EOS) dialog where supporter, customer or both can enter comments and it will all be attached to that session. You can check these comments in the session report section of your ISL Online account.
Default EOS dialog looks like this, but it can be modified for your needs:
In some cases you would like to modify the texts in ISL Light or even change the skin itself, that is also possible – a bit more difficult if you are a novice user, but the manual describes the basics to get you started. Please check this manual topic for more info.
Just to see what is possible, take a look at these custom skins:
Last but not least, it is possible to automate certain tasks and minimize the number of mouse clicks for repetitive actions. Want to automatically start viewing your client’s desktop when a session is established? Does your security policy require you to record each session? Want to put ISL Light into the iconized state or the bottom right corner? No problem, all this and more is possible through command line arguments. Check this manual topic for more information. Once you find your ideal command line arguments combination they can be added to your default customization – just contact ISL Online support.
Now you know what is possible, so go ahead and add that special touch to your support sessions!
