We are proud to announce the release of a redesigned remote desktop support end-user application ISL Light Client for Windows, Mac and Linux, which now matches the state-of-the-art design of the operator application ISL Light 4. You are welcome to update and distribute the new client application to your customers.
Here’s the recap: in November last year, ISL Light, the enterprise remote desktop support software, which empowers Konica Minolta, Raiffeisen bank, Ministry of Interior Slovenia, and over 200,000 businesses worldwide, introduced the best desktop sharing so far, ultrafast connections and a seamless modern design in the new version 4. The fourth generation enables users to connect in amazing two seconds and efficiently assist attended and unattended remote computers with IT issues through simple multiple session management.
Nevertheless, as the version 4 didn’t come with the updated client part of the software, the end-user experience unfortunately lagged quite a bit behind the operator. The main focus of this release, however, was to unify the application look and feel for both operator and client.
Update your ISL Light Client
In most cases, SaaS (Hosted Service) users will get the update automatically. That holds true for those who have linked the ISL Light Client application to the “netstart” version, the one that always checks for the latest version available on the ISL Online cloud: https://www.islonline.net/start/ISLLightClient.
However, if you have a full ISL Light Client application published on a website or saved it to your desktop, the update needs to be performed manually. Regardless the fact that the older client applications will continue to work uninterrupted, we recommend you to update it.

Since the default client application has already been replaced with the newest version, expect to get the new ISL Light Client 4 the next time you download or join a remote desktop support session directly from the ISL Online website. It might be wise to notify your regular users about the change to skip any future surprises.
Server License users are welcome to upgrade
